The clarity of a diamond based on the presence of internal and external characteristics which are commonly known as diamond impurities. The internationally recognized grading system is as follows:
F – Flawless. No inclusions or blemishes
IF - Internally Flawless. No inclusions, only blemishes visible.
VVS1 & 2 - Very Very Small Internal Characteristic (s) such as pinpoint inclusions.
VS1& 2 – Very Small Internal Characteristic (s) such as small clouds and feathers.
SI1& 2 – Small Internal Characteristic (s).
